Who is Grupo Lusiaves?
‍

Grupo Lusiaves is the largest poultry group in Portugal and one of the country's biggest agrifood businesses, with more than 5,600 people and operations covering the whole chain from production and processing through to distribution, logistics, and energy. It is headquartered in Leiria; it has been expanding into Spain, and 2026 marks its fortieth year.

‍

What were the main goals for this new website?
‍

A group this size produces news constantly: new facilities, acquisitions, results, recruitment. The marketing team could not publish any of it without asking someone else for help, so a new page took days, and the website fell steadily behind the company. Visitors were struggling to find basic information about a business that operates across five different areas.

‍

The brief had two halves. The website had to represent the scale the group had reached, and it had to be something the internal team could run every day without assistance. The deadline was the fortieth anniversary, and anniversaries do not move.

Our Approach

‍

Information architecture, built with the team

We mapped the sitemap and every user journey with the Lusiaves marketing team before any design began. They know what gets asked for and what nobody reads, and that knowledge belongs in the structure rather than in a later round of amends.

‍

Design

Lusiaves already had a strong identity. The work was to amplify it rather than replace it, and to give a group operating at this scale a digital presence that reads at the same level as the business behind it.

‍

Development and autonomy

Built in Webflow with the Client-First methodology, as a modular CMS. The marketing team now publishes campaign pages and news on their own, without opening a ticket with anyone.

‍

SEO and AEO from the start

Search and Answer Engine Optimisation were part of the build from the first day rather than being added at the end. The group needed to be found on Google and in AI tools, where more of these searches now begin.
