Who is Liyongo?
‍

Liyongo is a resort development in Kendwa, on the north coast of Zanzibar: sixty leasehold villas inside a working hospitality operation. Buyers take a 99-year leasehold title, enter a shared rental pool, and keep three weeks of personal use each year. First handovers are due at the end of 2028.

‍
What were the main goals for this new website?
‍

Liyongo is not selling nights in a hotel. It is selling leasehold villas to buyers who are usually thousands of kilometres away, in a jurisdiction they do not know, for a building that completes in 2028.

‍

That makes trust the whole job. The website had to carry two things at once: the feeling of the place, which is what makes someone want it, and the structure of the offer, which is what makes someone believe it. A visitor who is moved but confused does not enquire, and neither does one who understands the terms but feels nothing.

Our Approach
‍

Brand identity

We built the visual identity first. A resort designed around the landscape and culture of Zanzibar needed a brand that reads as considered rather than imported, and that holds up next to what is being asked of a buyer.
‍

Information architecture and wireframes

We mapped the sitemap and the wireframes with the Liyongo team before any design work. What a buyer needs to know, and the order they need to know it in, is the difference between an enquiry and a closed tab.
‍

Interface design

With the structure agreed, we designed the interface against the identity, so the villas, the setting, and the ownership terms sit in one visual language instead of reading as two different documents.
‍

CMS and the work after launch

The site runs on Webflow so the Liyongo team update availability, images, and content without us. Since launch we have continued through the GrowthHub, with UX changes, technical SEO, and performance work based on what visitors actually do on the site.
